I am honoured to be a certified facilitator for Cultivating Safe Spaces. It reflects my appreciative inquiry approach, affinity for Circle Process, and my desire to create space and place to empower myself and others to find clarity through complexities and chaos and co-create transformation within ourselves, our families, workplaces and communities.

With French-Métis, Irish and Austrian heritage, I have always lived in an in-between place and my invitation is to join me in this space to see what we can learn and create together. To this space, I bring with me the gifts of my names: the gift of ‘I love’ through the name given to me by my parents (J’aime) and the gift of abundance through the name given to me by Chief Wedlidi Speck (Pałid/River Overflowing with Abundance).

In my twenty years of experience in BC Public Service within social work and strategic human resources, I’ve witnessed the impact of organizations and institutions on the people who work within them and/or the people who receive services from them, especially for those who are systemically marginalized/targeted. I’ve witnessed the tensions (and pain) that can exist between head & heart, intentions & impacts and the well-being and successful outcomes that can emerge for all when we create safe space to listen and share to envision and live into new possibilities.

As a disciplined and lifelong learner, I hold a BA (sociology), BSW (child welfare specialization) and a Master of Public Administration. Yet my most profound learnings have come from authentic spaces with others where we sit together, talk together, learn together and walk together to do good work in a good way. In this space, our possibilities for growth are infinite!
